I'm Micah (or Elijah, my middle name), known to the internet as "Lawrence" for a number of years.
I love cats, Dostoevsky, Philosophy, Linux, and strong beverages of many kinds.
If this were a movie, I'd be the Richard Dreyfuss character.

I'm 23, an EMT, and a prospective Ph.D. student in Philosophy. I hold two Bachelor's degrees, one in Philosophy and the other in Criminal Justice. I also have a year's worth of Russian under my belt and am seeking to be fluent someday.I have a number of interests, most of them related to Philosophy, Logic, Law Enforcement, Journalism, or STEM (Computer Science, Physics, Astronomy, Engineering). I live for debates, discussions, and academic conferences. I'm always seeking a good discussion, and I love being able to put on a nice suit and congregate with fellow academics.Aside from being a huge nerd, I'm into coffee shop culture, off-grid living, humanitarian aid work, martial arts, guns, certain cars, formal fashion, and adult cartoons. I'm a big softie for cats, and they seem to like me too. I play a ton of video games, listen to a few podcasts, and am a bit of a music and film nerd. I'm also heavily interested in police work (a fixation of mine for over a decade; call me a bootlicker again), the military, and other tactical professions; and I have a strong fascination with some subjects that are generally considered taboo: fraternal orders and their symbolism, true crime, unexplained phenomena, survivalism, and psychedelic drug usage. As a disclaimer, I'm not a conspiracy theorist, a prepper, or a member of the true crime community. Do not assume that my interest correlates to a certain view regarding some of these topics — "What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence."I've had an online presence since 2009, so you might have seen me around, and that's probably why you're here. I'm a hobbyist artist who mostly draws anthros, but I wouldn't call myself a furry. I draw as a form of self-expression and emotional outlet. Many of my characters represent parts of myself, and they either interact with the other characters in my headworld or have their own stories. Feel free to ask about any of them.
